TNT IMPORT Chris McCullough only needed one game to get his feet wet again in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup semifinals.
After the Tropang 5G’s Game 4 loss at the hands of Meralco, McCullough powered TNT to a 103-95 Game 5 win at Araneta Coliseum on Friday.
“I just stayed aggressive,” McCullough said frankly. “In practice, we worked on chemistry and things that work for us. The goal was to come out aggressive and do the things we did and we did it today.”
McCullough, a former San Miguel Beer reinforcement, displayed his aggressiveness to pace TNT to a pivotal 3-2 series lead.
The former NBA talent turned in a monster stat line of 42 points and 11 rebounds on a tiresome 37 minutes of action.
McCullough also revealed that he finally got his rhythm back after diving headfirst back to action on Wednesday.
That, however, is no reason to celebrate.
“I ‘m just happy to be back and playing but the job’s not finished.”
TNT aims to end the series on Sunday when the series head to Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo for Game 6.
